Fate of my city!!!!

Yesterday, the president came to my City on a two day whirilwind tour. Well, the gift he brought us with him is an additional waiting period of 1 hr on the road in peak hours of traffic. As I have already said, the city ppl are already frustrated with the frequent traffic break downs and vehicular congestion. You could imagine what it would be like to a guy who gets himslef completely drenched in the rain, waiting, on his bike, for the president to leave. I dont blame the big man ( and I dont dare to do so 'coz he is one of those few presidents whom, even a common man would remember for times to come, thanks to his vision and his guidance to all the indians). My target is some one else. Ofcouse, you wont get any gift for guessing it. Its none other than the state governement. The fact that the traffic police has cblocked a few routes in the President's convoy was not annouced in advance. I saw many vehicles helplessly going back all the way to where they came from 'coz they were not allowed to go any further.
I some how have the feeling that the curernt goverment has been doing very little on the infrastructure developement. All the roads in the city are the ones laid by the previous governement. Surprisingly, the current government spent almost nothing on the city development and beautification. The other day, I heard some one saying that in this one year of the current govt rule, we went back five years in terms of city infrastructure and facilities. All the development projects came to a big halt. These days, you find many roads weathered out totally and many of the proposed new reoutes are not brought out of the maps of the MCH. Also, the city's parks that once were very famous are now in pathetic condition. The propsed outer ring road plan that was kicked off with great enthusiasm was dropped because of political reasons.
The public aslo has startedcasting serious doubts on the commitment of this goverment towards the city.I guess, the government should take serious steps to wipe off this image, it has built for it self, form the people's mind. The best way would be to pro-actiely take up the development of ciy which includes re-funding many of the infrastructure projects the previous government started. If it still dallies on this point, the city would soon give in to chaos 'n confusion and the current goverment would be wholly responsible for this.
